Entrepreneurship Program Inauguration
On 1st September 2023, IMI Kolkata conducted the inaugural session of the second batch of its Entrepreneurship courses that are part of the PGDM Programme and spearheaded by Dr. Sachin Modgil and Dr. Rahul Kapoor. The session was called “Empowering future leaders through Entrepreneurship Programme -nurturing New Venture Development (NVD) and fostering Local business accelerator (LBA).”
The team of business partners included MSMEs: SnapE Cabs, AKJ Industries, Dhanwantary, Artstry, Webingo, Coftea, Diverse Genomics, EkTara, Emsurg Healthcare (India), Gravitas AI, Philoyes, Delivery Pigeon, Arosia Water, Durga Caterers, Green Project and Pacific Designs.
Mr. Gopal Rathi, Executive Director, Strategy and Acquisition, RPSG Group, highlighted the importance of the tenets of entrepreneurship even in the corporate world, as conglomerates embark on introducing new business verticals. Professor (Dr.) Mohua Banerjee, Director, IMI Kolkata, shared the Institute’s background in launching the courses. The Entrepreneurship course has been meticulously crafted for students to understand and identify the pain points of MSMEs and contribute to addressing them in a hands-on mode.
