The 68th Independence Day celebration began at IMI Kolkata with the hoisting of the National flag at 10:30am. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
After the anthem was sung, students spoke about unsung heroes of India who gave up their lives for the country and they also shared what they felt of ‘Independence’.
Post the inspiring talks by Students, Dr. Tirthankar Nag, Dean (Academics) and Professor Arindam Banik, Director, IMI Kolkata, there was a Cultural Programme organized by the students of both batches.
The daylong event ended with special lunch for all.
