IMI-K Alumni Relations was delighted to host Alumni Connect 2023 on July 28, 2023, under IMIK IQAC Quality Initiative; a Round Table on “Mastering Transition from Campus to Career“, where a variety of experiences were shared by distinguished Alumni from International Management Institute, Kolkata along with faculty members; discussed real-world experiences, networking, and continuous learning. Moderator Mr. Subhanu Bhattacharya(2017-19), Manager at Moglix, led the discussion with Ms. Aishwarya Chopra (2016-18), Assistant Manager at KPMG India; Ms. Vaishali More (2014-16), Senior Relationship Manager at Kotak Mahindra Bank; and Ms. Pallavi Kejriwal (2014-16), Account Director at Kantar. The discussion was entirely covered by S.M.A.R.T., IMI-K.
The thrilling discussion revolved mostly around the paradigm of real-world experiences, networking and continuous learning. Alumni who have successfully navigated this transition shared their valuable insights that helped the current students prepare for the challenges ahead. The alumni emphasised that while technical skills are crucial, soft skills are equally, if not more, important in achieving long term success and making a positive impact in the workplace.
