Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree with First Class .
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering and Technology/ Management/ Economics/Social Science /Commerce/Humanities with First Class shall be considered for admission to Fellow programme.
- Those appearing for their final examination in the respective discipline can also apply.
We will be closing FPM applications for the current year, only EFPM applications will be open.

The admission process for FPM of IMI Kolkata is a two-step process. The steps are as follows:-
- Online Submission of Admission Form with Relevant Documents and Research Proposal:
The applicant needs to submit the FPM application form online along with scanned images of relevant documents. The form must be accompanied by an abstract of a maximum of 5000 words about the proposed research area/topic. This may be broad-based at this juncture but is critical for gauging the applicant’s interest.
- Presentation and Personal Interview:
Based on the research proposal and evaluation of past academic performance, candidates will be shortlisted for presentation followed by a personal interview for final selection.

Financial Support and Waivers for FPM Full-Time Scholars
IMI Kolkata provides comprehensive financial assistance to its full-time FPM scholars, ensuring that they can pursue their research without financial constraints. The following waivers and financial support are available:
1. Tuition Fee , Reading Material, Computer and Library Fee:
- Tuition Fee:100% waiver throughout the duration of the program.
- Reading Material, Computer and Library Fee:100% waiver throughout the duration of the program.
2. Monthly Stipend
- Full-time FPM scholars will receive a stipend of INR 37,000/- per month (1st & 2nd year) and 42000 (3rd and 4th Year) for a period of four years from the date of joining.
- The stipend will be subject to satisfactory academic progress as determined by periodic evaluations.
Contingency / Conference Grant
- Scholars will be provided with a contingency / conference grant of INR 100,000/- during their tenure.
The grant may be used for expenses related to:
- Attending conferences
- Data collection
- Stationery and printing
- Purchase of books and academic materials
- Other incidental research-related expenses
The approval for conference participation will be subject to review and recommendations by the Research Committee.
Housing & Accommodation Support
- Limited subsidized hostel facilities may be available for outstation scholars.
- Scholars opting for off-campus accommodation will need to arrange it independently.
Other Benefits
- Scholars will have full access to IMI Kolkata’s research infrastructure, including digital libraries, statistical software, and research databases.
- They will be eligible for faculty mentorship and networking opportunities with industry and academia.
