Research grant project:
Dr. Bhattacharjee bagged seed money from IMI Kolkata for the research project titled, “Why and when does inclusive leadership backfire on leaders? A self-regulatory perspective”.
This study investigates the potential unintended consequences of inclusive leadership for leaders themselves. Grounded in self-regulation theory, it explores the psychological mechanisms through which sustained inclusive leadership behaviors may adversely affect leaders over time. The research also identifies key boundary conditions that may exacerbate or mitigate these effects, offering a nuanced understanding of when and why inclusive leadership may paradoxically backfire on the leaders themselves.
