Soni Agrawal

Dr. Soni Agrawal is a distinguished academician and HR thought leader with a Ph.D. in Management from IIT Kharagpur with over 20 years of diverse experience spanning academia, industry, governance, and consulting. She brings strategic insights in Human Resource Management (HRM), Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), sustainability, and organizational development—making her a valuable asset. She has held faculty and leadership positions at leading institutions such as IIM Nagpur, IMI Delhi, and IMI Kolkata. In her academic leadership journey, she has served as Dean – Executive & Management Development Programs (EDP & MDP), Chairperson – OB & HR, and led strategic institutional committees including Admissions and Reservation Committees. A certified Independent Director from the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Dr. Agrawal also holds certifications in SA8000 Social Accountability, Mindfulness (Rice University), and is an accredited specialist with the Asian Productivity Organization. She is the founder Director of the company EcoDarpan Pvt. Ltd. & is on board of International Society for Data Science & Innovation (ISDSI)-Global and Finaquant Pvt. Ltd. Her consulting assignments include Indian Council of Social Science & Research (ICSSR), West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB), Credit Guarantee Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE), International Centre for Diarrheal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b), Balmer Lawrie and Ambirisk in the area of corporate social responsibility (CSR), impact assessment, Assurance and benchmarking services.

Sachin Modgil

Dr. Sachin Modgil is Associate Professor in Operations and Quantitative Techniques area. He works in technology, operations and sustainable supply chains. Dr.Modgil holds FPM from IIM Mumbai (Formerly NITIE, Mumbai). Dr. Modgil has more than 14 years of experience in both industry and academia. He has authored impactful research articles in Technovation, International Journal of Production Economics, Annals of Operations Research to name a few. He is Associate Editor of Electronic Commerce Research and Editorial Board Member of Cureus Journal of Business and Economics.

Rohit Kumar Singh

Dr. Rohit Kr. Singh is currently an Associate Professor and Chairperson of Fellow programme in Management (FPM) at the IMI Kolkata. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master’s degree in Business Administration, and a PhD in Supply Chain Management from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Gwalior. Dr. Singh is a prolific researcher, having published 100+ papers in internationally reputed journals and presented at numerous global conferences. His research focuses on operations, supply chain resilience, digital transformation, and sustainability. As an Associate Editor and reviewer for prominent journals, he significantly shapes academic discourse. A dedicated educator, Dr. Singh leads faculty and management development programs and has convened multiple international conferences. His expertise in multi-criteria decision-making and Industry 4.0 applications highlights his commitment to advancing knowledge and practice in his field.

Surendra Poddar

Surendra  has more than 20 years of experience in academics and industry . He has worked in the corporate with Reckitt Benckiser and Career Launcher . He has also had a brief stint as an entrepreneur before he moved to academics .Surendra is passionate about equity markets and has been a student and teacher of equity markets for the last 25 years.

He is actively involved in conceptualising and designing industry –academia programmes . He was instrumental in launching the PGPMI ( Post Graduate Programme in Management and Insurance) with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co . He is also currently the Programme Director of PGCFM ( Post Graduate Certificate programme in Financial markets ) offered jointly with NSE India . His research and teaching interests are equity analysis and valuation , Financial derivatives , behavioural finance , financial modelling

Chanchal Chatterjee

Chanchal has B Com (Hons) and M Com degrees from The University of Burdwan and stood first with a first class at both the levels and received two Gold Medals. He earned his PhD from The University of Burdwan in Financial Restructuring through Buyback of Shares, for which he received the Best Research Award in Finance Track in the Doctoral Colloquium from IIM Ahmedabad. Chanchal has a received several prestigious awards for his academic and research excellence. He has published several research papers in reputed journals. He has also presented papers in global conferences in India and abroad. His areas of interest include Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Earnings Management, ESG & Readability of Financial Reports.

Sahana Roy Chowdhury

Dr. Sahana Roy Chowdhury is a Professor of Economics at IMI-Kolkata with more than 15 years of post-doctoral research and teaching experience in economic research and policy. She holds doctorate and M.S. in Quantitative Economics from Indian Statistical Institute. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Studies in Microeconomics

(Sage Publications).

 

Dr. Roy Chowdhury has the experience of working with the Monetary Research Project Division of ICRA Ltd.

as Economist, National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, New Delhi at the Macro-Finance Division as

consultant. She was a visiting scientist at Cornell University, USA. She delivered invited lectures to the IRS and

IAS trainees on fiscal policy and taxation, and was responsible for providing research inputs to the

Expenditure Management Commission formed by the Ministry of Finance-Department of Economic Affairs.

She served as an expert panellist in the research meeting on Employability organized by the Centre for Policy

Research in Higher Education, New Delhi (Department of Educational Finance, GOI).

 

Dr. Roy Chowdhury taught several academic courses such as Macroeconomics, Fiscal Policy,

Business Forecasting, International Business to the masters and Ph.D. level students at IMI-Kolkata,

IMI-Delhi, Presidency University, Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi, Université Gustave Eiffel, Paris etc.,

and taught customized management development courses to the mid-senior level managers and young

executives of EXIDE, PCBL, CESC etc.

Tirthankar Nag

Tirthankar Nag has a doctorate from IIM Ahmedabad and currently holds the position of Professor at IMI Kolkata. Tirthankar has been teaching master’s and doctoral courses at IMI Kolkata in the areas of Strategic Management, ESG, Design Thinking and Digital Transformation. He is also involved in guiding and examining doctoral candidates at several Universities and Institutes. He has authored several books, book chapters, and peer-reviewed papers in international. He has received several awards and recognitions from IIM Ahmedabad for his academic work (Chaudhary Padmanabhan Pant Award, Sahir Memorial Award), and holds certificates from the World Bank Institute and  United Nations System Staff College. He is also a TEDx Organizer and is a mentor of change for Atal Tinkering Labs, Atal Innovation Mission and a certified innovation ambassador. He is also the editor of the Journal of Operations and Strategic Planning, published by SAGE Publications. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Jadavpur University.

Tirthankar has advised the top management of various organisations on behalf of global consulting firms like PwC, KPMG, investment banking organisations like SBICAPS and worked on projects of several ministries of the Government of India. He has also worked on research/ consultancy projects funded by multilateral organizations which include UN Organizations, DFID, ADB, and USAID. He has also worked for leading utilities like CESC Limited. Overall he has over twenty years of experience across management consulting, investment banking, utilities, teaching and research.
