This was the first time IMI Kolkata had the privilege to organize a 3-day MDP on Increasing Marketing effectiveness for Executives of Indian Post. The batch consisted of 25 Marketing Executives. The chief guest for the occasion, Smt Arundhati Ghosh, Chief Postmaster General, West Bengal Circle shared her experience on postal services in India and emphasized on the need of selling organizational products and services in order to make a mark in the market and remind people about the organization’s existence. Prof. Arindam Banik, Director, IMI-Kolkata, welcomed the participants and highlighted how India Post has significantly contributed to the nation’s growth and success story. Prof. Sarojakshya Chatterjee, Dean MDP & EDP, Programme Director underlined the need to remain update with the technological advancements alongside being aware of the competitors. On the valedictory Day One of the participants mentioned “workshop content have been well designed and is very useful”. The participants in their individual feedback mentioned that the programme covered almost everything they needed. The overall feedback was 90% creating demand for more such programme with a longer duration.
