Sahil Singh Jasrotia

Dr. Sahil Singh Jasrotia holds an impressive array of educational qualifications and teaching interests, focusing primarily on Marketing. He has a Ph.D. in Management from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, India, and a Master’s degree in Commerce from the University of Jammu, India. Dr. Sahil is also a Qualified UGC NET in Commerce. He has extensive teaching experience, covering core and elective courses such as Consumer Behaviour, Integrated Marketing Communications, Marketing Models and Theory, Qualitative Research Methods, and Services Marketing.

Dr. Sahil has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Best Paper Award in the 4th Nordic International Conference organised by Inderscience publishers in 2022, Best Paper Award in the 3rd EBT Conference by the University of Belgrade, Serbia, and Best Paper Award in the Ibcd conference by DAVV University, Indore. His work has been published in prestigious journals such as the International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management, International Journal of Bank Marketing, International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, Society and Business Review, and Journal of Non-Profit Marketing etc.


Mohua Banerjee

Dr. Mohua Banerjee is the Director, International Management Institute Kolkata (IMI Kolkata). She is also a Professor of Marketing in IMI Kolkata. She has done her Ph.D. in Commerce from the University of Calcutta and has over 20 years of academic experience.

As a Visiting Professor in foreign Universities like the Bordeaux University, University of Tours, University of Dauphine, and Celsa-Sorbonne University in France, she has taught courses on the Indian Perspectives of Digital Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, International Retailing and Supply Chain Management. She has been a Visiting Faculty in the postgraduate departments of the University of Calcutta and St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. She has consulted in the telecom sector and has been actively involved in Retail Management curriculum development for National Skill Development Mission, NITTTR, Ministry of HRD.

Dr. Banerjee has undertaken Retail Research Project in collaboration with the University of Oxford’s, Oxford Institute of Retail Management (Saïd Business School) and conducted collaborative research in Agri-entrepreneurship with Leeds Beckett University, UK, under the aegis of the UGC-UKIERI Research Grant Project. As a researcher, she has authored research papers in international journals of repute that are available across scholarly indexes. She has published books and case studies that are available on the Harvard Business School Publishing, along with opinion pieces for management practitioner journals and newspapers.

She has qualified the “CMI Level 3 Award” for Leadership Development from Chartered Management Institute (CMI), UK. Having qualified the “Proficiency Assessment” for Independent Directors by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Dr. Banerjee is an Independent Director on the Board of Electrosteel Castings Limited, and is a Member of the Corporate Governance Committee.

She is also an Expert Committee member in the National Expert Committee on Higher Education & Training, Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC).


Kishalay Adhikari

Dr. Kishalay Adhikari has completed the Ph.D. programme in Management from the School of Management, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela. His thesis work focused on analyzing the role of consumer brand engagement on enhancing brand loyalty in the automobile context. Towards his credit, Dr. Adhikari has published in high-quality journals, including Journal of Product & Brand Management, The Services Industries Journal, Journal of Internet Commerce, and Journal of Global Marketing, among others. His areas of research interest are customer engagement, social networks, relationship marketing, online privacy, and virtual communities.  During the PhD tenure, he obtained a fellowship from the Indian Council of Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi. He is an active reviewer to different international journals of repute in the broader domain of brand management. Dr. Adhikari believes in the motto of “do beyond what’s expected and obvious”, both in professional and personal life.


Indrani Paul

Dr. Indrani Paul is currently an Assistant Professor of marketing at IMI Kolkata. She has earned her doctoral degree from IMI Kolkata. Her PhD thesis focuses on the tourist’s engagement behaviour in the ecotourism context. Dr. Paul is having experience of academic research and proven track of publications in the area of customer engagement, ecotourism, service quality and sustainable tourism, eWOM using qualitative and quantitative research methods. She has published research articles in several reputed international journals such as Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Tourism Recreation Research, International Journal of Human–Computer Interaction. She has also presented her research works in many international conferences. Her teaching interest includes subjects such as marketing research, digital marketing, services marketing, Generative AI in marketing. She is an active reviewer of various reputed journals.


Radha Govind Indwar

Dr. Radha Govind Indwar holds Ph.D.  degree in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi (IIM-Ranchi). His thesis work titled ‘Emoji: Examining its effect on customers’ post-dissonance behavior’ is at the confluence of Marketing Communications, Digital Marketing, Consumer Behavior and Services Marketing. In addition, he is UGC-NET qualified and JAIIB and CAIIB certified from “Indian Institute of Banking and Finance”. Towards his credit, Dr. Radha Govind has published in high-quality journals, including Journal of Strategic Marketing and Journal of Consumer Marketing. His research interest areas are consumer behaviour, digital marketing, social media marketing, services marketing and influencer marketing. He is reviewer for the few reputed journals. He is having industrial work experience of 8 years including 5 years in a public sector bank wherein acquiring expertise in handling retail and MSME customers for asset products. He has worked as credit manager handling the loan proposals from the mapped branches and facilitating in business growth in Odisha for erstwhile Corporation Bank (currently Union Bank)


Gobinda Roy

Gobinda Roy is the Associate professor of Marketing at International Management Institute Kolkata. Before joining academics, Dr. Gobinda Roy had over two decades of experience in industry and consulting, managing multiple global IT/Telcom projects. He joined academia as a professor in Marketing after completing his MBA and Ph.D. from VGSOM IIT Kharagpur and teaching many contemporary marketing courses like Digital Marketing, AI/ML in marketing, B2B marketing, Marketing strategy, etc. His research area is digital marketing and consumer behavior, focusing on industries like retail, tourism, sustainability, the sharing economy, and many more.

He also spearheaded multiple high-impact research projects, leading to publication in top-category (ABDC-A*/A) international management journals. As an entrepreneur, he led a leading Indian virtual assistant company, “Ennovation Consultancy,” and managed 100+ consulting assignments in the healthcare, business development, and education industry. He mentioned 50+ ventures in association with CIIE, IIM-A, NEN, Sankalp, and Wordcon. His social venture, “Lakshay Foundation,” reached hundreds of underprivileged school kids by providing educational support in rural Bengal.

During his corporate stint, he managed 10+ global projects involving players like AT&T, BT, FT, CISCO, ALCATEL, and HP. His corporate experience enriched him to share his expertise with students in his present role as a marketing professor. 


Rituparna Basu

Professor (Dr) Rituparna Basu is an internationally acclaimed academician in the domain of Marketing. In her stellar teaching and research journey she has won several global awards including three awards in consecutive editions of ISB Ivey Global Case Writing Competitions and two awards in successive CEEMAN Emerald Case Writing Competitions to date. Basu’s teaching cases are indexed by Harvard Business Publishing and taught in top B-schools across the globe. She received several awards such as the AIMS Woman Management Researcher Award and AIMS-IRMA Young Woman Management Teacher Award to name a few for her contribution to the field. As the European Union’s Erasmus+ Grant Awardee, she has delivered lectures at the top French Public University.

Basu currently serves as a Professor and marketing area chair of IMI Kolkata. She holds a PhD in Management from IIT Kharagpur and is an alumnus of St. Xaviers’ College, Kolkata. Following a Bachelor of Science with Economics honors and a Master in Business Administration (gold medallist), Basu worked in the industry for five years holding key sales and marketing positions of national and international media houses. In her IIT days, Basu attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha, USA as an exchange student to meet the legendary Warren Buffet and attended the IIMA Summer School 2012 on Data Analytics.

As an accomplished researcher Basu has written 40+ peer-reviewed articles for international publishers and top-quality journals including the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Consumer Affairs, Psychology and Marketing, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management, International Journal of Consumer Studies and many others. Additionally, she is an award-winning business case writer who has written several case studies with teaching notes for prestigious Harvard Business Review, Ivey Publishing and Thunderbird that are indexed and distributed globally by the Harvard Business School Publishing.

Basu serves as the Editor-in-chief of IMI Konnect, a scholarly publication bearing an International Standard Serial Number. As an experienced academic administrator, she has held chairperson positions for admission, branding and media relations verticals of IMI Kolkata in the past. Beyond her teaching and research experiences Basu continues to serve as a high impact corporate trainer and consultant for numerous notable business houses with national and multi-national presence such as Quotient Engineering Inc., Bengal Ambuja, GRSE, Allahabad bank, CESC, PCBL, India Post, LIC of India and many more.

In her teaching career, Basu has additionally held an Adjunct Faculty position at VGSOM, IIT Kharagpur and a visiting professor at IIM Sambalpur to name a few. As a notable speaker, she has been featured as an expert in Live programs on national television. Known for practice-led research expertise, she has delivered several keynote sessions and graced national/ international academic forums as guest of honor or distinguished panelist sharing stage with luminaries like Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, Nikhil Pant and others. She guides PhD scholars and is a mentor for the Atal Innovation Mission of Niti Aayog, Government of India.
