Arghya Ray

Dr. Arghya Ray has received his PhD from Indian Institute of Management Ranchi. Prior to joining IMI Kolkata, he was an Assistant Professor at FORE School of Management (FSM), Adamas University, and a Visiting Faculty at Birla Global University, IIM Ranchi and IIM Jammu. He also has an industrial experience of two years at TCS Limited. With B.Tech. (Silver Medalist) from SRM University, he has to his credit many publications in top level ABDC and ABS listed journals. He has also attended around ten national and international conferences. His research mainly focuses on understanding customer perspectives from social-media feeds in different domains like food delivery, e-learning and travel agency services.

Ruchi Sharma

Dr. Sharma has received her Ph.D. Degree from Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi. Her areas of interest includes Machine Learning, Data Mining and Analysis, Database Management Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Software security and reliability. She has presented and published papers in various international conferences. She has published articles in journals of international repute and also serving as a regular reviewer for journals with reputed publishers. She has been actively involved in organizing various conferences, seminars and webinars.
Anees Ahmad

Anees Ahmad is presently working as Assistant Professor of Marketing at International Management Institute, Kolkata. He has acquired the doctoral degree from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad. His research interests are in the areas of branding and consumer behavior. He has published research papers in national and international journals which are indexed in Thomson Reuters, Clarivate Analytics Master Journal list Web of Science, Scopus and ABDC journal quality list. Besides publications, he has also presented research work at various national and international conferences. He is a management graduate from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. He has qualified UGC NET & JRF in Management. He started his academic career in 2008 and he has more than 13 years of teaching and research experience.
Tinu Jain

Dr. Tinu Jain has 5 years of experience in teaching, research and industry. Prior to joining IMI-Kolkata, he has been associated with reputed institutions like Indian Institute of Management Jammu (IIM Jammu), Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Mumbai Main Campus. Prior completing the Fellow Program in Management (FPM) from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, he had done his MBA from XIMB (Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar)- 2005-07 batch with Rural Marketing as specialization and has worked in AMUL as Depot In-Charge (Equal to Branch Manager) for 26 months taking care of the entire range of AMUL products.
His teaching and research interest area includes Branding; Rural Marketing; Digital Marketing; Retailing; Tourism Marketing; Consumer Behavior and Sales & Distribution.
Gobinda Roy

Prof. Gobinda Roy has over 16 years of experinec in industry, research, and teaching. He is in the area of marketing and currently teaches Digital Marketing, Service Marketing, Web Analytics, etc. He has rich and extensive managerial experience in the telecom industry in the areas of telecom product management, marketing management, telecom solution, etc. Prior to joining IMI Kolkata, he has conducted MDP and FDP in in OP Jindal University, JSPL, and JPL Raigarh and delivered guest lectures in VGSOM (IIT Kharagpur), IIFT Kolkata. He has published several scholarly articles in leading international journals such as Journal of Internet Commerce, Journal of Marketing communication, Global Business Review, etc.
Avinash K Shrivastava

Dr. Shrivastava did B.Sc (H) in Mathematics and received his Master’s, M.Phil and PhD degrees in Operational Research from the Department of Operational Research, University of Delhi. His current teaching interest includes courses on decision sciences viz. Business Mathematics & Statistics, Operations Research, Quantitative Techniques, Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) and Data Analytics. He has presented papers at conferences of International repute and won accolades for best paper presentations. He has been publishing extensively and serving as a reviewer for various journals of International repute. He has edited seven books published by Bloomsbury Publications & Taylor & Francis. He is the series editor of a book titled “Advances in emerging markets and Business operations. He is the managing editor of the International Journal of System Assurance Engineering and Management (IJSAEM), Springer and associate editor of IMI Konnect. He has organized International conferences & seminars in different capacities. He is also a life member of the Society for Reliability, Engineering, Quality and Operations Management (SREQOM).
Roma Puri

Dr. Roma Puri has more than a decade of teaching experience. Her domain has been Organizational Behaviour and HRM. She has taught courses at graduate and post-graduate level. In addition to teaching regular courses at B-schools she has been a teaching HRM related courses in the Career Oriented Programme offered by St. Xavier’s College. With keen interest in Behavioural Sciences, she has gone through intensive group process training from Indian Society for Applied Behavioural Sciences, attended Group Relations Conference and offered several programmes in this area. She has been a part of the GLOBE (Global Leadership and Organizational Behaviour Effectiveness) Programme led by Professor Robert House at the Wharton School.
Rituparna Basu

Dr. Rituparna Basu is an internationally acclaimed young academician and researcher in the domain of marketing and retail. She received the prestigious AIMS-IRMA Outstanding Young Woman Management Teacher Award 2016 for her contribution to management teaching in the country. She is particularly known for her practice-led research across a wide range of topics such as retail, sports marketing, and children as consumers that is already making an impact across the global academic fraternity.
Dr. Basu completed her Ph.D. in Management from IIT Kharagpur to join full time academics as an Assistant Professor of Marketing, Retail and Entrepreneurship at IMI Kolkata in January 2013. Her doctoral thesis titled Store Format Choice in Emerging Retail Markets speaks of her expertise in contemporary marketing theories and practices. Dr. Basu is an alumnus of the highly acclaimed St. Xaviers’ College, Kolkata and holds a B.Sc. degree with Economics honors. She also has a gold medal to her credit for her Master’s in Business Administration.
Dr. Basu has over 13 years of industry-academia experience. She has worked with some of the best known media companies like AMSI (an Indo-Malaysian joint venture with Power FM and Aamar FM radio stations in Kolkata), Sanmarg (a leading vernacular newspaper) and a startup niche magazine on education abroad called “Ready to Go?”, in national sales and marketing profiles for around 5 years prior to joining IIT. During her IIT days she attended a student exchange programme on International Marketing at the University of Nebraska, Omaha and had the opportunity to meet the legendary Warren Buffet and some of the best known American CEOs. She was part of the IIMA Summer School 2012 on Data Analytics.
In her teaching career, she has already held the Adjunct Faculty position at Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur teaching Sales and Distribution to the students of its MBA as well as Executive MBA programmes. She has been regularly visiting many reputed management institutes and Universities like the IISWBM and St. Xavier’s University to teach papers in Retail, CRM, Marketing Strategy, etc.
She is a high impact corporate trainer. She has delivered several training sessions in sales and communication at companies like Bengal Ambuja, Usha Telehoist and Quotient Engineering Inc. She also facilitates MDPs for Allahabad bank, CESC, PCBL and others at IMI-Kolkata.
She has delivered session on “Overcoming Challenges for Sustainable Competitive Advantage” as a Keynote Speaker for National Symposium by St. Xavier’s College Department of Commerce & Business Administration. She has graced many national/ international academic forums as guest of honour or distinguished panelist and has also been invited as faculty expert to Live programmes on national television. Recently, she delivered an expert session on ‘Social Entrepreneurship’ at the National Seminar organized by GDBI, Kolkata along with luminaries like Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, Nikhil Pant and others. Her oratory skills coupled with her expertise as a highly cited researcher makes her a popular choice as a speaker in intellectual platforms.
Dr. Basu is the Associate Editor of IMI Konnect (A scholarly management publication- ISSN 2321 9378) since January 2014. As a successful academic administrator she has been the Chairperson of Admissions at IMI-K and currently she heads its Branding & Media Relations. She is also a representative member of the Board of Governors at IMI Kolkata.
As a researcher, she has authored several research papers in international journals of repute that are available across scholarly indexes. She has authored award winning teaching cases that are available on Harvard Business School Publishing indexes. She is very keen on practicing and publishing collaborative applied research with pragmatic integration of quantitative and qualitative methodological approaches.
